How to properly adjust your mirrors for optimal visibility while driving

Properly adjusted mirrors are essential for ensuring visibility and safety while driving. By adjusting your mirrors correctly, you can improve your ability to see other vehicles, pedestrians, and obstacles on the road, and reduce the likelihood of accidents and collisions.

To properly adjust your mirrors, follow these steps:

  • Sit in the driver's seat and adjust your seat and steering wheel to your desired position.
  • Adjust the rearview mirror so that you can see the entire rear window and the area directly behind your vehicle.
  • Adjust the side mirrors so that you can see the entire lane next to your vehicle. To do this, sit in the driver's seat and place your head against the left side window. Adjust the left side mirror so that you can just barely see the side of your vehicle in the mirror. Repeat the process on the right side.
  • Once your mirrors are properly adjusted, check your blind spots by looking over your shoulder before changing lanes or making a turn.

By properly adjusting your mirrors, you can improve your visibility and increase your safety while driving. Make sure to adjust your mirrors every time you get into the vehicle, and adjust them as needed if you change your seating position or add passengers to the vehicle.
